Meet the 2012 Virginia Conservation Network Board of Directors.
Jerry Gray - President
Jerry Gray is the current president of VCN. He also is involved in Virginia Forest Watch, a VCN affiliate member.
Martha Wingfield - Past President
Martha is involved with the Coalition for Hanovers Future and The Virginia League of Conservation Voters.
Skip Stiles - Vice President
Skip serves as the Executive Director for Wetlands Watch. Wetlands Watch is a Virginia non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and conserving Virginia wetlands.
Steve Herbert - Secretary
As Deputy City Manager, Steve is responsible for the overall direction and management of the seven departments affecting development and health and growth of the local economy.
Linda Rice - Treasurer
Linda Rice is the President of Friends of Forge Road and Toano. FORT works to protect, preserve, and enhance the tranquil beauty and peaceful character of our rural byway, Toano, and adjacent neighborhoods.
Peter Agelasto
Peter is the Chair of the Rockfish Valley Foundation. He is also active in Rural Nelson and Friends of Rockfish Watershed.
Anne Beals
Anne is active in the Garden Club of Virginia, a member of the Virginia Board of Forestry, and an associate Director of Tri-County/City Soil and Water Conservation District. Her family's farm, Oakley, earned DCR's Clean Water Farm award in 1999.
Joe Bouchard
Mr. Bouchard is heavily involved in state, regional and local activities in the areas of national security and economic development.
Karl Bren
Karl Bren is President of GreenVisions Consulting. GreenVisions provides consulting services relating to the application of green building and sustainable design, especially in single and multifamily affordable housing.
Henry Broaddus
Henry currently serves as the Associate Provost for Enrollment and Dean of Admission at William & Mary. William & Mary is the second oldest college in the nation and a cutting edge research university.
Steve Bruckner
Steven Bruckner serves as Conservation Chair for both the Virginia Chapter and the Great Falls Group of the Sierra Club.
John Eckman
John serves as the Executive Director of the Valley Conservation Council. VCC is dedicated to protecting the agricultural, natural, and cultural resources of the Shenandoah Valley region in Virginia through private action and public planning.
Anthony Flaccavento
Anthony joined the VCN board in September of 2010. Anthony is an organic farmer near Abingdon, Virginia and past Director of Appalachian Sustainable Development.
Cale Jaffe
Senior Attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center. SELC is known and respected for its long, consistent history of results, and for its ability to identify, create, and utilize powerful leverage points.
Chris Miller
Chris Miller has served as President of Piedmont Environmental Council, safeguarding the landscapes, communities and heritage of the Piedmont by involving citizens in related public policy and land conservation.
Margaret O'Bryan
Margaret is active on the Donor and Membership Committee. She also is a bird watcher and participates in the Richmond Audubon Society.
Paige Pollard
Paige Pollard currently owns and operates Commonwealth Preservation Group, LLC (CPG) , a small, women-owned historic preservation consulting firm.
Stewart Schwartz
Stewart serves as the executive director for the Coalition for Smarter Growth. CSG works to ensure that transportation and development decisions accommodate growth while revitalizing communities and providing more housing and travel choices.
