September 26, 2008 - Awards & Auction Gala
September 27, 2008 - 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Environmental Assembly & Annual Meeting
Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond VA
Student Commons Building

Virginia Environmental Assembly (VEA) is Virginia’s premiere annual gathering of citizens, conservation groups, elected officials, and environmental policy experts.

This fall, please join us on September 26 and 27 to celebrate VCN’s continued growth at the network’s annual meeting, the Virginia Environmental Assembly.

This year, the assembly is hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University.  VCU's urban campus in downtown Richmond is the perfect backdrop for our smart-growth case study.  East of town, VCU's Rice Center for Environmental Life Sciences boasts 343 wooded acres and the state's first LEED Platinum building—we'll get a special preview tour.

Our 2008 keynote speaker will be Larry Schweiger, National Wildlife Federation CEO & President .

You won’t want to miss the VCN Awards & Auction that Friday night, September 26th. We will honor Virginia’s conservation leaders and enjoy food, wine and music. Silent and live auctions featuring eco-friendly products and once-in-a-lifetime vacations will benefit VCN’s environmental education and advocacy programs.

We hope to see you there and thank you again for your continued support of the Virginia Conservation Network.
